DHJ Door Lock Hoist/Jackshaft Operator — Installation & Repair
The LiftMaster DHJ is a Logic 5.0 hoist/jackshaft operator for shopping malls, storefronts, and cafeterias — built for larger, heavier rolling doors and grilles, with a floor-level chain hoist and an internal door lock sensor that prevents damage when the door is locked. Joe’s Doors installs and services the DHJ across Miami-Dade and Broward.

Storefront-Grade Protection, Industrial Muscle
The DHJ mounts on the wall or hood beside rolling doors, grilles, and high-lift sectional doors, and its internal door lock sensor restricts activation while the door is locked — the number-one cause of burned motors and bent curtains on storefront grilles. A floor-level chain hoist gives staff manual control of larger, heavier doors whenever needed.
On the Logic 5.0 platform you get myQ® connectivity, Security+ 2.0®, programmable timer-to-close (5–60 seconds), and UL 325 compliance. Power options include ½ and ¾ HP with single-phase 115/230V and three-phase 208/230/460V connections.

DHJ — Common Questions
What does the door lock sensor actually do?
It detects when the door or grille is physically locked and blocks the operator from running — preventing burned motors, snapped chains, and bent curtains from accidental activation.
Which doors suit the DHJ?
Larger, heavier rolling doors and grilles, plus sectional overhead doors with vertical or high lift — typical of malls, storefronts, and cafeterias.
What’s the duty cycle rating?
25 cycles per hour and up to 90 cycles per day on the Logic 5.0 platform.
Can staff open the door if power fails?
Yes — the floor-level chain hoist provides manual lifting for larger doors whenever power is out.
