DJ Door Lock Jackshaft Operator — Installation & Repair
The LiftMaster DJ is a Logic 5.0 jackshaft operator for shopping malls and cafeterias — sized for smaller, lighter rolling doors and grilles, with an internal door lock sensor that stops the operator from running while the door is locked. The Storefront Standard
The DJ is the go-to operator for storefront grilles and smaller rolling doors in malls, food courts, and retail plazas. It mounts on the wall or hood beside the door, and its internal door lock sensor restricts activation while the door is locked — protecting the motor, curtain, and locks from costly accidental damage.
Logic 5.0 brings myQ® remote monitoring, Security+ 2.0® encrypted control, programmable timer-to-close, and UL 325 safety compliance, with a floor-level chain hoist available for manual lifting of the door.

What’s the difference between the DJ and DHJ?
Both have the door lock sensor; the DJ is sized for smaller, lighter doors and grilles, while the DHJ adds capacity and a chain hoist for larger, heavier doors.
Why does the door lock sensor matter for grilles?
Storefront grilles are usually locked overnight. Without a sensor, an accidental open command can burn the motor or bend the curtain — the DJ simply refuses to run while locked.
What’s the duty cycle?
25 cycles per hour and up to 90 cycles per day — ample for retail open/close routines.
Can it close automatically at closing time?
The integrated timer-to-close (5–60 seconds) closes the door automatically after opening; paired with myQ® you can also close and verify remotely.
