What your Joe's Doors warranty covers

Every job we do is backed by our General Warranty. Here's the short version.

Repairs

Lifetime parts, 1-year labor

Every part we install during a repair is covered for as long as you own the door. Our labor is covered for 1 year.

New installations

Manufacturer + our workmanship

New doors, openers, screens and accessories carry the manufacturer's warranty. We warrant our installation workmanship for 1 year.

Service plan members

Labor coverage while you're a member

Labor on all Joe's Doors work stays covered for as long as you're a member. The yearly tune-up is handled, and warranty visits have no trip charge.

How to keep your garage door warranty valid

  1. Register within 30 days. Use the form above. If you don't, we may ask for proof of purchase before honoring a claim.
  2. Get a professional tune-up every 12 months. A documented tune-up by a licensed garage door professional is required (every 6 months for commercial, high-cycle, oversized or custom doors). South Florida heat, humidity and salt air wear doors out fast.
  3. Call us first. If something goes wrong, stop using the door and contact us before anyone else works on it.
  4. Pay your invoice in full. The warranty is conditional on full payment.

Garage door warranty FAQs

How long is the Joe's Doors garage door warranty?

For repairs, parts we install are covered for as long as you own the door, and labor is covered for 1 year. For new installations, the manufacturer warrants the product and we warrant our installation workmanship for 1 year. Service plan members keep labor coverage on all our work for as long as they're members.

Do I have to register my warranty?

Please register within 30 days of your repair or installation. If you don't, we may ask for proof of purchase before honoring a claim.

Does my garage door warranty require maintenance?

Yes. The warranty requires a documented tune-up by a licensed garage door professional at least once every 12 months (every 6 months for commercial, high-cycle, oversized or custom doors). A Joe's Doors service plan is the easiest way to handle it: we schedule the tune-up, do it and keep the record.

What voids a garage door warranty?

Skipping the yearly professional tune-up, having anyone else repair or adjust the door before we inspect it, and an unpaid invoice. Damage from storms, flooding, vehicle impact, abuse or misuse isn't covered, and neither are normal wear items like weather seals and batteries.

How do I make a warranty claim?

Call 954-799-9787 or email [email protected] with your name, service address and invoice number, and describe the problem. We aim to be on site within 2 business days and will offer an appointment within 5 business days at most. We'll confirm whether it's covered before any chargeable work.

Is there a trip charge on warranty visits?

There's no trip charge during the labor warranty period. After it ends, warranty visits on lifetime-covered parts carry a trip charge starting at $79, and the parts themselves stay free. Service plan members pay no trip charge on warranty visits.

Is the warranty transferable if I sell my home?

No. The warranty belongs to the customer named on the invoice and ends when you sell the property or no longer own the door.
